Barilla and homophobic Russian Olympics

Everyone should look REALLY hard at the response the worldwide boycott has had on pasta giant Barilla. Guido Barilla near tears apologizing for his homophobic words.  "If gays don't like it, they can eat another pasta.". Not very good marketing strategy.
This whole incident should be labelled 'The Barilla Syndrome'.
This is what the sponsors of the Sochi Russia winter Olympics should be feeling.
When the Olympic sponsors are crying because they are boycotted, then and only then will the International Olympic Committee move these games.
McDonalds released today their new healthier menu.  Boycott it!  Coca Cola, Boycott it!  Samsung is releasing a new watch computer gizmo.  Boycott it!
Let them know any LGBTQ suffrage means we all suffer.
The IOC shows their hypocritical colors in turning a blind eye to their own charter.  Specifically section about nondiscrimination.
The end result is one incident, will ricochet around the world like an Italian homophobe blathering his hateful words.
However, chances are, a Russian incident will likely include bloodshed.  Olympic committee striping athletes medals because they are expressing who they are as people will be turned into a "political" statement.
Who does the Olympic committee think they are fooling at this point?  Let's face it, this is about cash and not Olympic spirit.
If it has Olympic rings on it stay away.  It doesn't look any better for the sponsors.
Does McDonald's want to end up with Coca Cola in Barilla-land right now?  We need to push on these Olympic sponsors in the same manner that everyone did with Barilla.
Everyday that a LGBTQ person has to remain silent because of legislation, is another day that the whole world suffers.

StonewallAGAIN: Why We Are Here

StonewallAGAIN.com is a portal to bring open communication to LGBT community on events that you need to be involved in.

The only way we are going to get is equality is if everyone participates.  Otherwise, the bigoted hateful religious zealots are going to continually try pulling us back to the 1950s.

The drag queens of the Stonewall riots in June 1969 had ENOUGH of being harassed.  40 years later, we are still being harassed in the work place, when we want to get married, when we want to take care of the ones that we love in a hospital or when we want to have our children treated fairly.

WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH.  The LGBT community has kicked back and taken these slow painful steps to get equal.  We need to wrap this up and move on with our lives in a world free from harassment and bigotry.  We have been scapegoated by religious groups so that they can continue to villainize us for self empowerment.  When you listen to their biblical nonsense as to why we should be treated differently, their arguments fail.

The government has to use the constitution to govern the land, not the bible.  Where we see this being imposed we need to say no.  Not just a whimpering mousey little no, but a loud NO.  When that NO is not heard, then we must work to remove the people from that office so that our NO can be heard.  There are rules and laws that will assist us in cutting off funding for these hateful politicians.

This blog and website do not endorse the rioting that started our revolution.  In fact, through peaceful protest we can win hearts and minds and understanding.  This is the age of electing a President through the media on the internet.  We can leverage the same tools for equality.

We are just the same as everyone else.  We are human beings with hearts, love and relationships.  We have good days and bad days.  We are all Americans.  We ALL deserve and are entitled to equal protection under the law.

Lets start the Quiet Riot....NOW!
