After Harvey Milk, a gay activist had a stamp named for him after his unfair early death, StonewallAGAIN's Bisexual liaison, Br. Michael C. Oboza (ret) was in Bisexual visibile equality heaven after Oboza found out that Janis Joplin may also have a stamp named in her honor after her unfair early death.
Oboza was so speechless, Oboza mumbled, "No matter how straight, lesbian, bisexual, or whatever... Janis was an artist ahead of her time." Oboza continued, "Rock on girl... Rock on!"
After attending Chicago Homeless Youth Summit in May 2014, StonewallAGAIN's Bisexual liaison, Br. Michael C. Oboza (ret) was humbled to be aware the homeless epidemic was bigger and more important than capturing a great picture for a blog.
At the follow up Summit Community meeting in July 2014, Oboza introduced himself, "I am Michael Oboza, a LGBT activist and concerned person." The meeting hit a hot button Issue moment when a Youth activist challenged a Chicago Police officer regarding gay youth and police officer relationship history. Oboza was happy someone else mentioned that historical unspoken observation.
Tracy, a matriarch and one of the Summit's hosts got the attention back to Meeting agenda. Many ideas were shared, even activist and "keep the pressure on" ideas; Oboza's favorite ideas. Conversations continued after meeting.
